Description

Manage general ledger activities and month-end processes for an assigned functional accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare month-end journal entries in accordance with US GAAP, ensuring accurate supporting documentation.
• Perform variance analysis against budget and trends, providing detailed explanations to accounting leads and managers.
• Complete monthly balance sheet account reconciliations for your assigned functional area.
• Analyze the impact of journal entries on financial statement line item classifications.
• Support corporate and facility teams with information requests and year-end external audits.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Bachelor's in Commerce is not accepted).
• 5+ years of professional accounting experience.
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP.
• Extensive experience with general ledger accounting.
• Ability to develop estimates of monthly activity based on historical financial data analysis.
• Proficiency in performing variance analysis and reconciliation tasks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Previous experience in healthcare accounting.
