Description

Design, implement, and maintain large-scale Big Data infrastructures and software applications.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Big Data infrastructures, including access methods, device allocations, and security protocols.
• Develop logical and physical data models and infrastructure designs.
• Install, upgrade, and test complex big data deployments.
• Build and execute recovery plans and procedures to ensure system reliability.
• Lead application design, determine user requirements, and manage project priorities.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure or data engineering.
• Deep administrative knowledge of Apache Hadoop.
• Hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL).
• DBA experience, specifically with HBase, database replication, and scaling.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using Chef or Puppet.
• Experience with BI tool integration with Hadoop.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to design and maintain highly available systems, including monitoring, security, and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Cloudera distribution.
