Description

You will lead aircraft-level integration for avionics, SATCOM systems, and supporting hardware, managing the full lifecycle from design to flight clearance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of avionics, SATCOM, and supporting hardware across the aircraft.
• Prepare airworthiness documentation and coordinate flight clearance with Air Force offices and OEMs.
• Manage 3D designs, interface models, and system weight and balance data using CAD tools.
• Support lab testing with realistic setups and ensure environmental compliance.
• Participate in flight test planning, risk analysis, and post-test evaluations.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in aircraft modification or system integration.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in aeronautical, aerospace, or mechanical engineering.
• Proficiency in CREO, NX, CATIA, or SolidWorks.
• Strong knowledge of structural design, wiring, environmental testing, and weight balance.
• Experience with flight testing and defense acquisition processes.
• Agile or SAFe methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Experience with SATCOM, secure communications, or open architecture systems.
• Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
