Description

You will design, build, and maintain production-grade agentic AI systems using the Glean platform and OpenAI models.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Build and ship multi-step autonomous agents using Glean Agent Builder, configuring triggers, steps, actions, and memory.
  • Design and tune LLM reasoning pipelines via Glean’s Model Hub or direct OpenAI API, including prompt engineering and structured outputs.
  • Develop custom Glean Actions and integrations for enterprise SaaS systems, handling authentication, error handling, and rate-limit-aware batching.
  • Factor common capabilities into reusable services to create thin-configuration agents, ensuring governance and permission-aware retrieval.
  • Implement evaluation frameworks, confidence thresholds, and monitoring to ensure agent reliability, safety, and observability in production.

Required Skills

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in Python.
  • 3+ years building with LLMs in production, including tool calling, RAG, multi-step orchestration, and memory management.
  • Hands-on production experience with the Glean platform: Agent Builder, Apps, Actions, Model Hub, connectors, and permission-aware retrieval.
  • Deep practical experience with OpenAI API and GPT Enterprise, including model selection, cost/latency tuning, and data-handling controls.
  • Production experience deploying and operating services on AWS and/or GCP, including IAM, secrets management, and networking.
  • Strong experience integrating enterprise SaaS systems (e.g., Jira, Slack) via API, including auth flows and webhook patterns.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD, API design, version control, and data engineering for secure data transformation.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience governing enterprise tools with controlled intake, permission models, and audit trails.
  • Familiarity with AI system observability, including monitoring drift, alerting, and root-cause analysis.
  • Background in regulated environments (finance/accounting) with a focus on auditability and data governance.
