Description

Lead the design and development of AI-powered applications, focusing on scalable backend systems that integrate large language models (LLMs) with enterprise financial data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop text-to-SQL AI agents and conversational AI tools for natural language querying of complex financial datasets.
• Implement AI integration patterns including Prompt Engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Function Calling, and Agent-based workflows.
• Design and optimize database schemas and data models across SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks environments.
• Validate AI-generated SQL queries for correctness, efficiency, and performance within regulated financial environments.
• Design and develop backend services and APIs on Microsoft Azure to support AI-driven applications.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of professional software development experience with strong backend engineering expertise.
• Hands-on experience building production-ready AI systems using LLMs, not just prototypes.
• Proficiency in backend languages such as C# / .NET, Python, or Java.
• Strong SQL expertise, including complex query writing, schema design, and performance evaluation.
• Experience deploying applications and managing data on Microsoft Azure.
• Practical experience with modern data platforms: SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks.
• Proven ability to implement AI guardrails and validation frameworks for regulated industries.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience in financial services or other regulated industries.
