Senior AI Software Engineer

Lead the architecture and development of a text-to-SQL agent enabling financial advisors to query complex datasets via natural language. You will own the data layer for AI models, build AI integration patterns, and deploy services on Azure.

Responsibilities

• Architect the data layer, including schema design and structuring data across SQL Server and modern platforms.
• Build and refine AI integration patterns: prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, and agent-based workflows.
• Implement AI guardrails appropriate for regulated financial environments and validate AI-generated SQL for correctness and performance.
• Design and develop backend services and APIs supporting AI-driven features, deploying them on Microsoft Azure.
• Mentor engineers and guide best practices in architecture, design, and development while driving technical direction.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend and API development experience on a major cloud platform (Azure preferred).
• Strong SQL expertise, including writing complex queries, designing database schemas, and evaluating AI-generated SQL.
• Hands-on experience delivering production AI features with LLMs, not just prototypes.
• Proficiency in backend technologies: C# / .NET, Python, Java, or similar frameworks.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms: SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, Databricks.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
