Description

Lead the architecture and development of a text-to-SQL agent for financial advisors, owning the data layer, AI integration patterns, and Azure deployments.

Responsibilities

• Architect the data layer, designing schemas and structuring data across SQL Server and modern platforms.
• Build and refine AI integration patterns including prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, and agent-based workflows.
• Implement AI guardrails for regulated financial environments and validate AI-generated SQL for correctness and performance.
• Design and develop backend services and APIs supporting AI-driven features on Microsoft Azure.
• Mentor engineers and guide best practices in architecture and technical direction.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong backend and API development on major cloud platforms, with Azure preferred.
• Expert SQL skills: complex queries, schema design, and evaluating AI-generated SQL.
• Hands-on production experience with LLMs, not just prototypes.
• Proficiency in C#, .NET, Python, or Java.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, Microsoft Fabric, or Databricks.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead technical initiatives.

Preferred Skills

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
