Description

You will develop new features and support native Android applications within a scrum team.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Develop elegant solutions using Kotlin, Android SDK, and Gradle.
• Build high-performing UI and networking layers.
• Collaborate with back-end developers to build and consume RESTful APIs.
• Perform code walk-throughs and produce high-quality, testable code.
• Participate in Agile scrum meetings and complete assigned stories.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of Android native app development using Java or Kotlin.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and the Android SDK.
• Deep experience with Android Architectural Components.
• Expert knowledge of Retrofit 2 for consuming REST APIs.
• Expert knowledge of Gradle for build and dependency management.
• Experience implementing MVVM design patterns.
• Experience with UI implementation using ConstraintLayout.
• Experience with asynchronous and event-based code using RxJava or Kotlin.
• Experience with Git and writing extensive unit tests.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to create configuration, build, and test scripts for CI environments.
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
