Description

You will design, develop, and maintain software for Android, Android TV, and Amazon Fire TV platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship new solutions while refactoring and improving the existing codebase.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business objectives into technical requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, system diagrams, and documentation for the platform roadmap.
• Mentor engineers and enforce coding standards through regular code reviews.
• Manage project priorities and deadlines within an agile scrum environment.

Required Skills

• 6+ years of professional Android application development experience.
• Proven track record of shipping apps to Google Play or Amazon Appstore.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Kotlin.
• Expertise using Gradle and Android Studio.
• Experience implementing software design patterns and unit testing/TDD.
• Knowledge of branching patterns and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience developing video streaming applications.
• Familiarity with RxJava, RxKotlin, or other reactive frameworks.
• Experience with Android Architecture Components and dependency injection (Dagger or Hilt).
