You will own the development of Android wallet, payments, and proximity features for a mobile application in Washington D.C.
Responsibilities
Implement Google Wallet integrations including passes, offers, and identity flows, alongside Google Pay payment tokenization and merchant validation.
Develop mapping features using Google Maps SDK and Location Services API, including geofencing, background tracking, and real-time route visualizations.
Build device-to-device ranging and proximity-aware experiences using Android Nearby UWB APIs for secure session establishment and precise distance measurement.
Implement NFC features using HCE and Reader/Writer Mode, handling NDEF reading/writing and secure element usage.
Write modular Kotlin code using MVVM or Clean Architecture, ensuring reusable components, accessibility, and robust error handling.
Required Skills
10+ years of experience in Android development, specifically with Kotlin.
Strong proficiency in MVVM and Clean Architecture patterns.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
Deep knowledge of Google Wallet, Google Pay, and payment gateway integrations.
Hands-on experience with Google Maps SDK, Location Services, and geofencing.
Familiarity with Android Nearby APIs, specifically UWB and BLE for proximity features.
Understanding of NFC standards, HCE, and secure element usage.
Knowledge of tokenization, PCI compliance, and secure payment flow design.

Strong communication skills for customer interaction and managerial coordination.
