Description

You will design and develop user-facing Android applications for tablets, embedded systems, and custom OS environments.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of rider interfaces built on custom Android OS.
• Design end-to-end solutions integrating UI, cloud services, autonomous planning, and vehicle firmware.
• Implement best practices for mobile backend integration and system observability.
• Mentor senior engineers and define technical roadmaps in collaboration with product leadership.
• Own the full lifecycle of highly-popular applications from concept to production.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Extensive Android development with a strong focus on Kotlin.
• Deep understanding of Android UI, Android OS, and backend mobile development.
• Experience designing full-stack applications integrating mobile clients with cloud systems.
• Background in performance optimization, reliability, and system observability.
• Experience with custom/specialized Android devices or embedded Linux.
• Proven track record of building and maintaining heavily downloaded applications.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field.
