Description

Lead the architecture, design, and scaling of Android mobile applications while mentoring the engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scaling.
• Drive the full software development life cycle, including defining coding standards and conducting code reviews.
• Manage build processes, source control, testing, and operations.
• Optimize applications for performance and ensure code is testable through automated tests.
• Mentor engineers and act as a technical lead for the engineering team.

Required Skills

• 4+ years of professional, non-internship software development experience.
• Proven experience in Android mobile application development using Kotlin and Java.
• Strong proficiency in Java, C++, or C# with a focus on object-oriented design.
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin, Java, C++, and SQL.
• Experience leading technical teams or serving as a mentor.
• Experience with Git and code versioning tools.
• Background in designing systems with specific patterns for reliability and scale.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with Reactive programming frameworks and REST architecture for web services.
• Experience managing deployments to the Play Store.
