Description

You will lead the development, support, and maintenance of native Android applications, focusing on modernizing legacy code and ensuring high performance.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full native Android application lifecycle, from development to Play Store deployment.
• Refactor legacy Java codebases into modern Kotlin implementations using MVVM architecture.
• Debug and profile applications to resolve performance issues, memory leaks, and stability concerns.
• Write testable code and compose unit tests to ensure application reliability.
• Implement accessibility features and manage dependency assessments for cross-timezone teams.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience developing native Android applications using Java or Kotlin.
• 5+ years of professional experience with Kotlin.
• 3+ years of experience with Android Jetpack.
• Proficiency in Java, the Android SDK/ecosystem, and MVVM architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Dagger, RxJava, ViewBinding, DataBinding, Retrofit, Gson, Room, LiveData, and Navigation Components.
• Knowledge of Coroutines, Flow, Android-ktx, Extension methods, and Named parameters.
• Strong understanding of Gradle, memory management, and version control practices.
• 1+ years of experience in the Airline Domain.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to use profilers to boost application performance.
