Description

You will design and maintain API automation frameworks using Java, focusing on REST and SOAP services. You own the full testing lifecycle, from writing test cases for end-to-end scenarios to integrating them into CI/CD pipelines.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation suites using REST Assured for API validation.
• Execute and validate HTTP requests (GET, PUT, POST, PATCH, DELETE) and verify status codes against JSON responses.
• Implement authentication and authorization logic within test scripts.
• Manage defect lifecycles, troubleshoot failures, and fix issues in regression suites.
• Collaborate with teams using Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and GitLab.

Required Skills

• 4-6 years of experience in API automation testing.
• Strong proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with REST Assured for API testing.
• Experience with SOAP and PowerShell for integrations.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git repositories (GitLab/GitHub).
• Knowledge of Postman, ReadyAPI, and SourceTree.
• Understanding of JSON structure and validation.
• Experience with Jira for issue tracking.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with E2E scenario creation and execution.
• Background in Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) processes.
