Description

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable API architectures for internal services and complex external vendor integrations.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and build RESTful APIs ensuring high performance and scalability for high-volume transactions.
• Lead third-party API integrations with external vendor systems, strictly adhering to vendor specifications and security standards.
• Implement robust error handling, logging, and monitoring for all external API interactions.
• Collaborate with vendors, business analysts, and internal teams to define technical requirements and troubleshoot integration issues.
• Enforce API security standards using OAuth2, JWT, and API key management protocols.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in API development and integration.
• Proficiency in Java and SQL.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design, versioning, and best practices.
• Hands-on experience with API management tools and gateways, specifically Apigee and AWS API Gateway.
• Experience using Insomnia for API testing.
• Strong knowledge of authentication and authorization protocols, including OAuth2 and SAML.
• Experience integrating with external vendor APIs, preferably in financial services.
