Description

You own the integration strategy between Retail Store Technology and external API providers.

Responsibilities

• Discover, document, and map all APIs consumed by store technology.
• Define standards and best practices for API consumption across teams.
• Provide design oversight to internal development teams and third-party vendors.
• Clearly communicate technical concepts and architectural decisions to varied audiences.

Required Skills

• 3+ years of API integration experience.
• Significant experience using Apigee for API management.
• Expertise in API design principles, security (OAuth, API Keys), versioning, gateways, and Swagger documentation.
• Familiarity with retail systems (POS, inventory, CRM) and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
• Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Understanding of architectural styles including microservices, monolithic, and event-driven approaches.
• Ability to build consensus across teams without direct authority.
