Description

You will design, implement, and operate enterprise API platforms, owning the full lifecycle from design to retirement.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure API gateways (Azure APIM, Apigee, Kong) for routing, policies, and versioning.
• Implement API security controls including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, and mTLS.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for API deployments using automation tools.
• Automate API provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code.
• Mentor junior engineers and review API designs to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of software engineering or integration experience.
• 3+ years focused on API management platforms.
• Hands-on experience with Azure APIM, Apigee, Mulesoft, Kong, or AWS API Gateway.
• Proficiency in at least one language: Java, C#, JavaScript, or Python.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of RESTful API design, HTTP, DNS, TLS, and load balancing.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and release automation.
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, CloudFormation).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with event-driven APIs (Kafka, Event Grid, SNS/SQS).
• Knowledge of API product management and monetization concepts.
• Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect).
