Description

You will design, develop, and manage secure, scalable APIs using the Apigee platform and Java-based microservices.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop APIs using Apigee shared flows, policies, proxies, service callouts, fault handling, caching, and KVM.
• Implement API security practices, including OAuth token creation and flows such as client credentials and Auth code with PKCE.
• Publish APIs, oversee deployments, and maintain logging and analytics practices.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure Pipelines or similar tools to automate release processes.
• Apply API design principles and RESTful architectures to microservices environments.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in API development and management.
• Extensive experience designing and developing APIs on the Apigee platform.
• Strong programming skills in Java, including the Java Collections Framework and Streams.
• Deep understanding of Java design patterns and Spring Boot.
• Expertise in API security, OAuth architecture, and OAuth concepts.
• Proficiency with Microservices and RESTful architectures.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Working knowledge of databases and JavaScript or Python.
• Ability to manage deployments via CI/CD pipelines.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apigee X.
• Knowledge of API monetization strategies.
