You will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure APIs using Apigee Edge, X, and Hybrid.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy API proxies on Apigee, implementing traffic shaping, mediation, transformation, and security policies.
• Implement API security using OAuth 2.0, JWT, and API Keys, integrating with Identity Providers via SSO/SAML.
• Configure custom and out-of-the-box Apigee policies for request/response handling, error management, and threat protection.
• Build and maintain Apigee Developer Portals, including API documentation and onboarding workflows.
• Enable Self-Service Portal (SSP) capabilities for developer onboarding and API key provisioning.

Required Skills

• 7+ years in API development/integration, with 5+ years specifically using Apigee.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSO, and API Gateway security principles.
• Hands-on experience with JavaScript, Node.js, Python, or Java for custom policy development.
• Proficiency in REST, JSON, XML, HTTP, and SOAP protocols.
• Experience customizing and publishing Apigee Developer Portals.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Apigee Edge/X/Hybrid environments.
• Knowledge of identity provider integrations and SSO/SAML standards.
