Description

You will design, develop, and govern REST APIs using the Apigee Edge platform.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and troubleshoot API proxies and policies within Apigee Edge.
• Manage the full API lifecycle, including writing OpenAPI specs and onboarding APIs to the developer portal.
• Implement API layer requirements such as security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, and monetization.
• Convert web services between SOAP and REST formats using Apigee Edge.

Required Skills

• Deep experience with Apigee Edge platform, including Service Callouts, Extensions, and Mediation policies.
• Expertise in security implementations using OAuth.
• Proficiency in JavaScript for writing Apigee mashup APIs.
• Experience with Apigee OPDK on-premise installation and cluster management.
• Strong knowledge of HTTP, REST, and SOAP standards.
• Hands-on experience with Git, Node.js, and TLS.
• Practical use of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Travis, or GitLab CI/CD.
• Experience with logging systems like Splunk, Sumo Logic, ELK stack, or Loggly.
• Ability to debug Apigee Edge components including Edge Router and Message Processor.
