Description

You will own the design, enhancement, and management of client MSSQL environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, enhance, and upgrade client MSSQL environments.
• Troubleshoot and consult with clients daily on database projects.
• Define and maintain MSSQL standards and governance across instances.
• Monitor database performance, conduct tuning, and execute capacity planning.
• Serve as the technical escalation point for complex MSSQL application issues.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in SQL Server database administration (2008 to current versions).
• Deep understanding of SQL Server technology (builds, upgrades, patching, migrations).
• Proven experience with PowerShell or another scripting language for automation.
• Expert knowledge of query optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plans.
• Experience configuring log shipping, mirroring, clustering, and Always On availability groups.
• Hands-on experience migrating databases from on-premises to cloud environments (AWS & Azure).
• Proficiency with monitoring tools such as OEM or SQL Profiler.
• Working knowledge of Ansible, Python, and Terraform.
• Excellent communication skills for direct client interaction.
