Description

Design, modernize, and migrate enterprise Java and .NET applications to AWS cloud-native architectures.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Refactor monolithic applications into microservices using cloud-native patterns and containerize workloads on Amazon ECS or EKS.
• Migrate on-premises Java and .NET Framework applications to AWS, adopting serverless architectures with Lambda and API Gateway.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitLab, implementing Infrastructure as Code and automated quality gates.
• Modernize data layers by migrating from Oracle/SQL Server to Aurora, RDS, or DynamoDB using AWS SCT and DMS.
• Instrument applications for observability using CloudWatch and implement security best practices including IAM and encryption.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of software development experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, J2EE) or .NET Core / .NET 6/8 (C#, ASP.NET).
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications on AWS services (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS).
• Experience with database technologies including Oracle, SQL Server, and DynamoDB.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitLab for building automated deployment pipelines.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Ability to refactor legacy code, externalize configuration, and implement event-driven architectures.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS Serverless Application Model (SAM) or Step Functions.
• Familiarity with observability tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, or Prometheus/Grafana.
