Description

You will evaluate and optimize the technology used for managing agency records to address scalability, security, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Review existing hardware and software to recommend improvements for scanning, indexing, and document repositories.
• Analyze document creation, acquisition, and integration methods across existing systems.
• Design workflows for searching, retrieving, and sharing both internal and external records.
• Track the full lifecycle of electronic and physical records.
• Perform gap analyses and provide cost and effort estimates for future state implementations.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in document management development, including scanning, indexing, storage, and disposition.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Experience with document management systems, data entry, and file organization.
• Proven ability to implement custom API processes.
• Experience supporting document capture software such as Kofax Capture or IBM DataCap.
• Direct experience with ECRM implementation using Hyland OnBase, IBM FileNet, Oracle, or MS SharePoint.
• Strong analytical skills for identifying technology gaps and recommending alternative solutions.
• Familiarity with relevant compliance regulations.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with state government records management programs.
• Experience with Office of Technology (OTS) Enterprise Architecture.
