Description

Maintain and modernize legacy systems while developing new features to transition toward current architectures.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage legacy Natural code within production environments.
• Resolve technical issues and bugs in the current production system.
• Develop new features and system functionalities aligned with future-state designs.
• Execute code refactoring, modularization, and system migration tasks.
• Translate child welfare program requirements into technical specifications.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience with Natural programming language.
• 10+ years of experience with Visual Basic 6 (VB6).
• 10+ years of experience with SQL.
• Proficiency in .NET Framework (C#, ASP.NET).
• Experience troubleshooting legacy systems, batch processing, and file-based interface routines.
• Knowledge of data mapping, conversion, and system-to-system migration.
• Experience with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
• Domain expertise in child welfare business processes, including case management, intake, and service planning.
• Experience with Child Welfare Information Systems (SACWClient, MACWClient, or CCWClient).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ADABAS.
• Knowledge of federal CCWClient compliance standards and child welfare modernization projects.
