You will support the modernization of the Mississippi Automated Child Welfare Information System by maintaining legacy environments and transitioning to modern platforms.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and manage legacy Natural code, resolving issues within the current production environment.
- Develop SQL and Natural scripts for source data analysis, deduplication, and integrity cleanup.
- Plan and execute data migration for notifications and alerts from legacy platforms to CCWIS-compliant solutions.
- Contribute to the development of new features and system functionalities aligned with future-state designs.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in technical planning sessions and inter-agency collaborations.
Required Skills
- 10 years of experience with Natural programming language.
- 10 years of experience with Visual Basic 6 (VB6).
- 10 years of experience with SQL programming.
- Experience with .NET Framework (C#, ASP.NET).
- Proven track record of maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting legacy systems in production.
- Expertise in data integration, batch processing, and file-based interface routines.
- Experience with code refactoring, modularization, and system-to-system migration planning.
- Proficiency with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
- Knowledge of child welfare business processes, including case management, intake, and licensing.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience with SACWIS, MACWIS, or CCWIS systems.
