Description

You will own the migration of Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS and provide development support for applications within the cloud environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage application schemas, designs, and extensions across development, test, and production environments on Linux platforms.
• Provision and manage Oracle database instances on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3), including installation, configuration, and patching.
• Implement and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate for batch and online process synchronization, and set up replication using Oracle DataGuard.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, manage backups, restores, and capacity planning.
• Collaborate with developers to refine data requirements and SQL development while implementing security protocols and user access controls.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in Oracle database administration and modifying database structures.
• 7+ years of experience configuring, monitoring, and managing Oracle server caches.
• 5+ years authoring SQL and PL/SQL code on Unix/Linux environments.
• 5+ years of experience in user enrollment, system security, and access control.
• 5+ years monitoring performance metrics, response times, and request rates.
• 3+ years in installing, configuring, and patching database software.
• 2+ years implementing and supporting Oracle on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3).
• 2+ years with Oracle DataGuard replication and advanced security features.
• 2+ years with shell scripting languages.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Data Masking and Subsetting.
• Demonstrable skills with Cúram Software and its database schema.
