Description

You will support the migration of Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS cloud and provide development support for NC FAST applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage application schema, design, and extensions across development, test, and production environments on Linux platforms.
• Provision and manage Oracle database instances on AWS/Linux and install, configure, and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate for batch and online process synchronization.
• Set up replication and high availability using Oracle DataGuard and GoldenGate.
• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform backups and restores.
• Collaborate with developers to refine data requirements, table design, and SQL writing, and lead the development of procedures for high-volume systems.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience modifying database structures and updating existing database objects.
• 7+ years of experience configuring, monitoring, and managing cache for Oracle database servers.
• 5+ years of experience authoring code in SQL and PL/SQL on Unix/Linux.
• 5+ years of experience enrolling users, maintaining system security, and controlling database access.
• 5+ years of experience monitoring performance metrics, response times, and request rates.
• 5+ years of experience participating in on-call rotations and weekend work.
• 3+ years of experience allocating system storage and planning future storage requirements.
• 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, upgrading, and patching database software.
• 2+ years of experience implementing and supporting Oracle on AWS, including EC2, RDS, and S3.
• 2+ years of experience with Oracle DataGuard replication and advanced security.
• 2+ years of experience designing and implementing backup/restore and disaster recovery solutions.
• 2+ years of experience with shell scripting languages.
• 2+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Oracle GoldenGate.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Oracle Data Masking and Subsetting.
• Demonstrable skills with Cúram Software and database schema.
