You will modernize legacy data infrastructure and applications supporting complex statistical production processes.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Migrate legacy systems to modern programming languages and SQL-based data platforms, ensuring uninterrupted production workflows.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance software applications for time-sensitive data production activities using R, Python, and SQL.
• Analyze existing applications to identify opportunities for improved performance, maintainability, and processing efficiency.
• Design and build reusable components, subsystems, and technical frameworks that align with business requirements.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle, including testing, debugging, documentation, and secure release processes.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience as a programmer, developer, or systems analyst in enterprise or data-intensive environments.
• Significant professional programming experience in R or Python, including end-to-end development and production deployment.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices and methodologies.
• Experience with DuckDB or similar SQL-based data tools.
• Ability to translate complex functional and technical designs into scalable software solutions.
• Proficiency in creating technical documentation, including block diagrams, data-flow charts, and specifications.
• Track record of testing, debugging, and documenting production-grade software.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with legacy environments such as FAME.
• Experience integrating artificial intelligence tools and coding assistants securely.
