Description

You will drive the end-to-end model development lifecycle for NLP and IR systems, from ideation to production. You will translate complex business problems into projects with clearly defined scope while mentoring teammates and coordinating work as a technical leader. You will communicate technical ideas and research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, championing best practices for reproducible research and software delivery.

Responsibilities

Required Skills

• 5+ years of practical experience building NLP, IR, or ML systems.
• PhD in a relevant discipline or a Master's degree with comparable experience.
• Solid software engineering skills for rapid prototyping.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Proven experience as a technical leader guiding project execution.
• Experience managing deliverables within a production environment.

Preferred Skills

• 8 years of experience building IR, ML, or NLP systems in academia or industry.
• Publications in venues such as ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGIR, or KDD.
• Experience delivering minimum viable products in large enterprise environments.
