You will drive the end-to-end NLP and IR model lifecycle from ideation to production.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end model development lifecycle for NLP and IR systems, from ideation to production.
• Translate complex business problems into projects with clearly defined scope.
• Mentor teammates and coordinate the work of others as a technical leader.
• Communicate technical ideas and research findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Champion best practices for reproducible research and software delivery.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of practical experience building NLP, IR, or ML systems.
• PhD in a relevant discipline or a Master's degree with comparable experience.
• Strong software engineering skills for rapid prototyping.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Proven experience as a technical leader guiding project execution.
• Experience managing deliverables within a production environment.

Preferred Skills

• 8 years of experience building IR, ML, or NLP systems in academia or industry.
• Publications in venues such as ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, NeurIPS, ICLR, SIGIR, or KDD.
• Experience delivering minimum viable products in large enterprise environments.
