Description

You will drive the end-to-end model development lifecycle for NLP and IR systems, ensuring reproducible research and managed software delivery. You will translate complex business problems into projects with clearly defined scope and accountable deliverables. You will partner with cross-functional global teams, mentor teammates, and communicate technical ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will lead the adoption of AI across the enterprise by experimenting with new approaches and technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end model development lifecycle for NLP and IR systems.
• Translate complex business problems into projects with clear scope and deliverables.
• Partner with global teams and mentor teammates on technical execution.

• Lead AI adoption by experimenting with new approaches.

Required Skills

• PhD in a relevant discipline or Master's degree with comparable experience.
• At least 5 years of practical experience building NLP, IR, or ML systems from ideation to production.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Solid software engineering skills for prototyping.
• Experience as a technical leader coordinating and guiding the work of others.
• Expertise in NLP and Information Retrieval (IR).

Preferred Skills

• 8 years of practical experience building IR, ML, or NLP systems in academia or industry.
• Demonstrated ability to translate cutting-edge research into working prototypes.
• Experience delivering minimum viable products in large enterprise environments.
