Description

Architect and lead the development of a digital assets platform, focusing on tokenized deposits, on-chain payments, and settlement flows across distributed ledger technology and core banking systems.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable reference architectures for digital custody, key management (HSM/MPC), and smart contracts, ensuring integration with core banking and payment platforms.
• Define token standards (ERC-20/1440) and chain strategies, governing smart contract libraries and lifecycle events including issuance, transfers, and redemptions.
• Establish operational resilience, SLOs, and SLAs for digital asset platforms, driving throughput and reliability improvements while managing incident response and disaster recovery.
• Embed compliance controls for AML/KYC, Travel Rule, sanctions, and data privacy, aligning with CBUAE and ADGM/FSRA guidance.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with business stakeholders and vendors to deliver secure client onboarding and support services.

Required Skills

• 12+ years in technology or product delivery within banking or financial services, with 4+ years specifically in blockchain, smart contracts, and digital assets.
• Hands-on experience with Java, .NET, or Python for backend development and system integration.
• Deep knowledge of DLT platforms (Ethereum, Hyperledger, Corda) and smart contract languages (Solidity, DAML).
• Proficiency in secure integration patterns using APIs, microservices, and event streaming (Kafka).
• Experience implementing enterprise wallet solutions with HSM/MPC and managing key ceremonies.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, cloud security, and observability tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Preferred Skills

• Certifications in Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), Enterprise Architecture (TOGAF), or Security (CISSP/CISM).
• Experience with Agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban) and backlog management.
