Manage a portfolio of insurance claims to meet performance targets and service standards.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Settle claims within delegated authority, ensuring alignment with policy cover and legal liability.
• Assess claim merits regarding policy exclusions and excesses, handling telephone enquiries.
• Negotiate settlements with third-party insurers and customers, including personal injury cases.
• Monitor engineer reports and hire vehicle provisions to control costs and ensure efficiency.
• Analyze information from customers and suppliers to determine liability and quantum.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in motor and third-party claims handling.
• Competence in negotiating personal injury claims and liability.
• Knowledge of MOJ Portal, OIC, and Civil Procedure Rules (CPR).
• Understanding of common law, motor insurance legislation, and injury/damage quantum assessment.
• Basic understanding of human anatomy.
• Strong negotiation skills for customers and at-fault insurers.
• IT literacy with effective time management and organizational skills.
