Description

Lead audit engagements from planning through completion, ensuring compliance with GAAP and auditing standards. Manage multiple priorities, evaluate internal controls, and communicate findings to clients.

Responsibilities

• Execute complex audit procedures and techniques in accordance with GAAP and generally accepted auditing standards.
• Manage multiple audit priorities, ensuring all assignments meet established deadlines and time constraints.
• Evaluate internal controls and conduct thorough technical research to support audit findings.
• Apply project management skills to see engagements through to final completion.
• Adapt to changing client dynamics by providing recommended solutions and clear communication.

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.
• 3+ years of audit experience in a public accounting firm.
• Direct experience conducting non-profit audits.
• CPA certification and active license, or actively working toward obtaining it.
• Thorough understanding of GAAP and internal controls.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, ProSystem FX Tax, and Engagement.
• Strong analytical, technical, and research capabilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience conducting ERISA audits and single audits.
• Understanding of Form 990 and related tax returns.
