Description

You will serve as the L3/L4 escalation engineer for test automation, reducing ticket volume and creating scalable solutions for complex edge cases across the bank's infrastructure.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve complex automation issues across Playwright, Karate, and internal frameworks.
• Design and publish patterns and standards for non-UI systems, data pipelines, and legacy Windows desktop applications.
• Provide guidance and consultation to teams lacking automation expertise, acting as a subject matter expert.
• Support 24/7 Teams channels during office hours to address immediate escalations.

Required Skills

• Strong generalist software engineering background with 5+ years of experience.
• Hands-on proficiency in Java, C#, or Python.
• Experience with test automation tools, specifically Playwright and Karate.
• Ability to automate infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and batch processing systems.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills for documenting standards and solutions.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with middleware and atypical architectures.
• Background in enterprise banking or regulated environments.
