Description

You will lead Z/OS automation efforts, manage migrations from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli System Automation, and support customers using legacy software versions.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Execute migrations from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli System Automation by converting existing OPS/MVS rules and Rexx execs.
• Review and address published vulnerabilities, backporting critical CVEs to maintain software security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues in collaboration with engineering and development teams.
• Conduct code reviews, establish coding standards, and define technical guidelines.
• Provide technical estimations, manage task durations, and analyze alternative implementation solutions.

Required Skills

• 5-8 years of experience as a Z/OS Senior Automation Engineer.
• Expertise in IBM Tivoli Systems Automation for z/OS.
• Proven experience performing migrations from CA OPS/MVS to IBM Tivoli Systems Automation.
• Strong knowledge of policy-based solutions for system efficiency and availability.
• Ability to work effectively within distributed teams across different time zones.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with containerization and virtualization technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware.
