Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts using Python and/or Go (Golang).
• Perform functional, regression, integration, and protocol testing for Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking technologies.
• Test, configure, and troubleshoot IOS XR and NX-OS-based routing platforms and networking hardware.
• Validate routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, MPLS-TE, and Segment Routing.
• Execute network traffic testing using IXIA and/or Spirent traffic generators.
• Test and troubleshoot L2/L3 VPNs, EVPN, IPv6, MPLS-LDP, RSVP-TE, multicast, and other advanced networking technologies.
• Validate network telemetry and management interfaces, including gNMI, gRPC, NETCONF, SNMP, and Open Config YANG models.
• Work with public cloud networking environments to validate network functionality, connectivity, and scalability.
• Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex routing, protocol, and network automation issues.
• Use Linux/UNIX environments and Bash/shell scripting for test execution, debugging, and automation.
• Collaborate with networking, software development, and infrastructure teams to identify defects and improve network reliability and test coverage.

Mandatory Skills and Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in network testing, automation, network engineering, or a related domain.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or Go (Golang) for network test automation.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with IOS XR and routing hardware.
• Strong networking experience with NX-OS, including exposure to public cloud networking environments.
• Hands-on experience with IXIA and/or Spirent traffic generators.
• Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocols.
• Expertise in BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, MPLS, and advanced routing and switching technologies.
• Experience in Linux/UNIX environments and Bash or shell scripting.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex routing configurations and large-scale networking issues.
• Current, hands-on experience in networking environments is strongly preferred.

Preferred / Additional Skills

• L2/L3 VPN, EVPN, Segment Routing, IPv6, MPLS-LDP, and RSVP-TE.
• MPLS Traffic Engineering (MPLS-TE) and multicast routing.
• Network telemetry and management protocols: gNMI, gRPC, NETCONF, and SNMP.
• Open Config YANG data models.
• Public cloud networking and large-scale network infrastructure.
• Experience developing automated network validation, regression, and performance test suites.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a hands-on networking automation professional who combines deep routing and switching expertise with strong Python/Go development skills. Candidates with recent experience testing IOS XR/NX-OS platforms, working with IXIA/Spirent traffic generators, and troubleshooting complex BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, and MPLS environments will be a strong fit
