Key Responsibilities

• Design and define scalable, secure, and highly available AWS cloud-native application architectures.
• Lead modernization and migration initiatives for legacy applications moving to AWS.
• Design and implement microservices, serverless, API-driven, and event-driven architectures.
• Provide technical leadership and architectural guidance across multiple development teams.
• Develop architecture standards, design patterns, technical roadmaps, and solution documentation.
• Leverage AWS services including Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, DynamoDB, IAM, VPC, and related cloud services.
• Design containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Collaborate with application developers, DevOps engineers, infrastructure teams, security teams, and business stakeholders.
• Evaluate existing applications and recommend modernization approaches, including rehost, replatform, refactor, or rearchitect strategies.
• Support API design, integration patterns, scalability, performance, security, and high availability.
• Provide technical guidance on CI/CD, deployment automation, cloud governance, and operational best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience in software engineering, application architecture, or solution architecture.
• Strong experience designing and architecting applications on AWS.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Strong knowledge of AWS services such as:
  • AWS Lambda
  • API Gateway
  • ECS / EKS
  • DynamoDB
  • IAM
  • VPC
• Proven experience with legacy application modernization and migration to AWS.
• Strong Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of API-driven application development and integration patterns.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Java, Python, C#, Node.js, or Go.
• Strong understanding of application security, scalability, resiliency, performance, and high availability.
• Excellent stakeholder communication, technical leadership, and architectural decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional.
• Experience designing data architectures using Amazon RDS, Aurora, and DynamoDB.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or AWS CodePipeline.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise cloud modernization programs.
• Knowledge of cloud security, governance, monitoring, and operational best practices
