Description

You will own the design, deployment, and administration of scalable AWS infrastructure and big data platforms including Hadoop and Kafka.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Administer core AWS services (EC2, S3, EMR, EKS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda) and implement IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Install, configure, and tune Hadoop ecosystem components (HDFS, YARN, Hive, HBase, Spark) while ensuring high availability and cluster health.
• Manage Apache Kafka clusters for high-throughput streaming, handling scaling, upgrades, and performance tuning.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, or Confluent Control Center, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Build CI/CD pipelines and automate administrative tasks using Python and Shell scripts.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of system administration experience, with 5+ years in big data and cloud environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: EC2, S3, EMR, EKS, IAM, VPC, CloudWatch, Lambda.
• Proven expertise in administering large-scale Hadoop clusters (HDFS, Hive, Spark) and Kafka environments.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools: Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Python and Shell scripting for automation.
• Experience with monitoring tools: Prometheus, Grafana.
• Agentic AI experience.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with EKS and Kubernetes orchestration.
• Background in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure.
