Description

You will design and manage data engineering solutions and application development tasks within an AWS environment.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines using ETL and big data tool-chains like Glue, Spark, or EMR.
• Automate infrastructure and routine tasks using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Debug, optimize, and automate code to improve application performance.
• Manage cloud security and identity using IAM, Security Groups, KMS, and VPC NACLs.
• Monitor system health using log and event aggregation tools such as Splunk, ELK, or Prometheus.

Required Skills

• 7+ years of experience in AWS Data Engineering.
• Proficiency in Python, Node.js, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with container orchestration using Docker and AWS ECS or EKS.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure automation with Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet, or Ansible.
• Experience with pipeline automation tools like Jenkins, CodePipeline, or Azure DevOps.
• Proficiency with Git for source control management.
• Working knowledge of relational database systems and their application interactions.
• Experience operating within Linux environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the Life Insurance industry.
• Background in team management.
