Description

You will manage, scale, and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for data engineering workloads.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Research and recommend technologies for cloud infrastructure management, upgrades, and improvements.
• Plan capacity monitoring and scaling for platforms and applications.
• Lead software system programming, validation, deployment, and documentation.
• Write and review system specifications, including flow charts and technical diagrams.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring, decision substantiation, and strategy integration.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in large-scale data engineering.
• Expertise in Python or another object-oriented language.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services: Glue, Redshift, Lambda, S3, EC2, DMS, and Step Functions.
• Strong database skills in Oracle, SQL Server, ETL, and ELT.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated deployments, and Agile methodologies.
• Proficiency in orchestration techniques for managing complex data dependencies.
• Bachelor's Degree in MIS, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or a comparable major.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certifications.
• Financial Services industry knowledge.
