Description

You will design, build, and maintain enterprise-level AWS Data Lakes while managing end-to-end data lifecycles and migrating legacy applications to cloud-native environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement AWS Data Lake architectures, including code implementation and lifecycle management.
• Develop custom ETL logic using Python for data ingestion, processing, and transformation.
• Modernize legacy applications by refactoring and migrating them to cloud-native environments.
• Implement security and data governance protocols, including encryption, auditing, and fine-grained permissions.
• Automate workflows using CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps practices.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in software development and cloud engineering.
• Proficiency with AWS Data Lake services: S3, Amazon Kinesis Data Streams, and Kinesis Data Firehose.
• Hands-on experience with data processing tools: AWS Glue, Lambda, EMR, Athena, Managed Service for Apache Flink, and Step Functions.
• Experience with AWS SageMaker for machine learning integration.
• Strong Python scripting skills; experience with object-oriented languages like Java or .NET.
• Knowledge of DevOps, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
• Experience with transactional or RDBMS databases.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with data analytics tools such as PowerBI or AWS QuickSight.
• AWS Certification and state government experience.
