Description

Own the technical implementation, operations, and continuous improvement of core cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and platform interfaces on AWS.

This role is hybrid.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, managing state, dependencies, and lifecycle management for EKS, ECS, and Lambda environments.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, implementing modern deployment strategies like blue/green and canary releases with protected environments.
• Implement observability and security standards using OpenTelemetry, DataDog, and AWS native services (EventBridge, SQS, SNS) to ensure proactive monitoring and SLO adherence.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Architects to define feature improvements, ensuring alignment with Enterprise Architecture and security principles.
• Provide 2nd/3rd level support for production solutions, coordinating releases and troubleshooting issues in Java, Python, or TypeScript services.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SysOps, or Software Engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in AWS public cloud services, including Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, ECS, and EKS.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, with strong understanding of dependency trees and state management.
• Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, including runner optimization, scripting (Bash), and access management.
• Strong programming or scripting skills in Java (preferred), Python, or TypeScript.
• Experience with microservices architecture, REST API design, and event-driven systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (Master’s/PhD with CGPA > 3.0 is a bonus).

Preferred Skills

• Experience with disaster recovery setup and troubleshooting Java/ECS services.
• Knowledge of web reverse proxies, CDNs, and Web Application Firewalls.
