Description

You will design, deploy, and manage secure AWS GovCloud environments, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance for federal workloads.

Responsibilities

• Provision and maintain infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK within GovCloud.
• Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline for automated deployments.
• Manage containerized workloads with Docker and Kubernetes (EKS), implementing blue-green, canary, and rolling deployment strategies.
• Enforce security and compliance standards including FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800-53, and DoD SRG through IAM, KMS, and network segmentation.
• Establish monitoring and logging via CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana, performing root cause analysis to ensure system reliability.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of experience in Cloud or DevOps engineering.
• Deep, hands-on expertise with AWS GovCloud services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, ELB, Route 53).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills with proficiency in Shell, Bash, or Python.
• Experience managing containers using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Solid understanding of AWS networking (VPC, subnets, Security Groups, NACLs) and security best practices.
• Proven experience supporting federal, FedRAMP, or regulated environments.

Preferred Skills

• AWS Certifications (DevOps Pro, Solutions Architect Pro, or Security Specialty).
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture and government/defense sector projects.
