Description

You will design, build, and support Azure Data Services and associated data infrastructure.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design and support Azure Data Services including Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, ADLS, Event Hub, Service Bus, Redis Cache, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure Synapse.
• Develop Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Ansible for repeatable provisioning of data environments.
• Maintain CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps for infrastructure deployment, schema operations, and patching automation.
• Support AKS clusters for data microservices, managing scaling, storage classes, networking, and observability.
• Implement automation for backups, DR workflows, configuration drift detection, and platform monitoring.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, DevOps, or data platform engineering.
• 6+ years of hands-on Azure engineering experience.
• Mastery of Terraform, Bicep, or Ansible for building modular IaC frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for advanced automation and integration scripts.
• Extensive experience with CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and data service lifecycle management.
• Deep knowledge of Azure Data Services: Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, ADLS, Event Hub, Service Bus, Synapse, Redis Cache, Key Vault, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Architectural knowledge of enterprise cloud networking, including VNets, NSGs, firewalls, private endpoints, and private DNS.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes/AKS, Helm, operators, and secrets management.
• Expertise with Azure Monitor, Prometheus, and Grafana for building dashboards and alerts.

Preferred Skills

• Experience implementing security frameworks such as CIS, NIST, or ISO 27001.
