Description

You will own the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise-grade data pipelines for healthcare data within the Azure cloud ecosystem.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for EHR, claims, IoT, and unstructured healthcare data.
• Implement advanced data storage and processing solutions using Azure Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, Databricks, and Azure SQL.
• Partner with data scientists to operationalize machine learning models for healthcare use cases.
• Automate workflows using Azure Data Factory, Databricks jobs, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine-tune production pipelines for scalability and cost efficiency.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer with extensive work in Azure cloud services.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks and Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with Azure Synapse and Azure Data Lake.
• Working knowledge of FHIR and HL7 standards.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven ability to deliver solutions in agile environments.
• Experience designing and implementing ML solutions in a healthcare environment.

Preferred Skills

• Power BI experience for data visualization and reporting.
