Description

Build scalable, modern APIs and microservices for highly available web and mobile applications using Node.js. You will own the full lifecycle of backend services, from design and security to deployment and monitoring.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, production-ready REST APIs using Node.js, ensuring strict adherence to API standards, versioning, and CORS requirements.
• Develop backend microservices with strong software design practices, translating non-functional requirements like availability, stability, and security into technical solutions.
• Write and maintain comprehensive unit tests to ensure correctness, reliability, and fast feedback cycles.
• Build and deploy application code using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI) and support blue-green/canary deployment strategies.
• Manage infrastructure as code and cloud resources using AWS services and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Required Skills

• 5+ years of experience in backend development with strong proficiency in Node.js.
• Hands-on experience building scalable RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of API security best practices, including JWTs, OAuth 2.0, and secure endpoint design.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases for data persistence and integration with external HTTP-based systems.
• Proficiency in unit testing frameworks to write comprehensive test cases.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud-native services, including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, IAM, and CloudFront.
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker/Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes) for scalable deployments.
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with ECS/EKS and load balancing patterns.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills for cross-functional collaboration.
