Senior Backend Developer — Java / Spring Boot

Senior backend engineer to design, build and operate microservices-based systems using Java and Spring Boot. Own architecture, performance, reliability and mentor team members.

Nice-to-have:
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Redis.
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or container orchestration.

Skills
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement Spring Boot microservices with clean, testable code.
Build data access layers using Spring Data JPA; design DB schemas and optimize queries.
Develop REST/GRPC/async APIs, integration patterns, and inter-service contracts.
Work with PostgreSQL/MySQL: schema design, indexing, migrations, performance tuning.
Ensure reliability: monitoring, logging, tracing, fault tolerance, circuit breakers and retries.
Lead code reviews, architecture discussions, tech estimates and drive best practices.
Implement CI/CD, automated tests (unit/integration), and support deployments.
Troubleshoot production incidents and perform root-cause analysis.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to tech roadmap.

Required Skills:
5+ years Java development; strong Spring Boot and Spring Data JPA experience.
Solid experience with relational DBs (Postgres, MySQL) and SQL optimization.
Hands-on with microservices architecture, service discovery, API design and versioning.
Familiar with messaging/event systems (Kafka/RabbitMQ) and async patterns.
Proficient in writing unit/integration tests and using CI tools (Jenkins/GitHub Actions).
Strong debugging, performance profiling and system-design skills.
Good communication and leadership aptitude
