Description

Design and maintain secure, scalable backend systems and data pipelines in regulated environments.

This role is on-site.

Responsibilities

• Build and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and AWS CDK.
• Develop and operationalize data and ML pipelines using AWS Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, EMR, and SageMaker.
• Write robust AWS Glue ETL jobs in Python/PySpark with exception handling and CloudWatch monitoring.
• Ensure application security, performance, and scalability within HIPAA and FedRAMP High environments.
• Troubleshoot issues across the stack and collaborate in Agile sprint planning and code reviews.

Required Skills

• Expert-level Python with strong experience in Django.
• Minimum 7 years of post-education professional experience.
• Strong proficiency in AWS, with Azure experience preferred or ability to learn quickly.
• Experience deploying containerized applications (ECS strongly preferred; Kubernetes a plus).
• Hands-on with Linux environments and CI/CD pipelines (AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild).
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and data lake technologies.
• Application of security best practices including IAM least privilege and encryption.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of C++ and Go.
• AWS and/or Azure Professional-level certifications.
