Description

You will lead the architectural rewrite and migration of a legacy ColdFusion project into a new Java-based codebase, while also building the new React frontend.

This role is remote.

Responsibilities

• Rewrite the legacy ColdFusion project from scratch using Java, maintaining existing feature parity.
• Develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and database models.
• Build a new React codebase to meet user experience and design requirements.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues during the migration and development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless integration of the new system.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of software development experience.
• Expert-level proficiency in Java (specifically Java 7).
• 5+ years of experience with Maven.
• 5+ years of strong SQL knowledge, including stored procedures and query optimization.
• Extensive experience working with React.
• Proven ability to migrate and modernize legacy codebases.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Preferred Skills

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
